Privacy policy

This explains what information eky.works collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we collect only what we need to run a job board, we don't sell it, and we don't use advertising or tracking scripts.

What we collect

  • If you apply for a job here: your name, email, phone (optional), your message, and your resume (optional).
  • If you make an account: your email, name, a securely scrambled ("hashed") password, and anything you add to your profile.
  • If you set up a job alert: your email and what you want to hear about.
  • If you post jobs: your company details and the jobs you post.
  • If you report a listing or contact us: what you send, and your email if you give it.
  • Search words typed into job search, without anything that identifies you, so we can see what people look for.
  • Basic server logs (like IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and stop abuse. For spam limits we store a scrambled version of your IP address, not the address itself.

We use one cookie to keep you logged in and one to protect forms from forgery. We don't use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or social media pixels.

Who sees it

  • Applications and resumes go only to the employer you applied to, plus eky.works staff when needed to fix a problem or investigate abuse.
  • Our email provider delivers emails for us (like alerts and application notices).
  • We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect people from fraud.
  • We don't sell your information.

Once an employer receives your application, they may keep their own copy. Their use of it is up to them.

How long we keep it

  • Account information: until you delete your account.
  • Applications: until you delete your account, or the employer deletes their account.
  • Copies of emails we sent: about 90 days.
  • Anonymous search words: about one year.
  • Backups: up to 14 days after deletion.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from any alert with the link in the email.
  • Edit your profile or delete resumes from your account page.
  • Delete your account and personal data any time from your account page.
  • Applied without an account and want your application removed? Contact us.

Children

eky.works is meant for people old enough to work. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
